How to Play

In this game, you must discover all the words in a special list.

There are 5 types of lists:

Synonyms – All the words are synonyms for the top word, and all the words have roughly the same meaning. The words are all the same part of speech.
Vocab – All the words are vocabulary related to a specific topic or domain.
Category – A few carefully selected people, places, or things from a category, such as U.S. Presidents, types of cheese, or capital cities in Asia, etc.
Polysemy – Each word is a synonym for the next word, but with each new word, the meaning may change, and the part of speech may change too.
Etymology – All the words share a common Latin or Greek root.

Each correct guess unlocks the boxes for the next word as you move from easier words to more challenging vocabulary, from famous to less famous.

How quickly can you complete the rooks or checkers list?

First, Choose a Style of Play

There are 2 ways to play the game:

  • Rooks
  • █ — — — █
    █ — — █
    █ — — — — █
  • Start with the first and
    last letter of each word
  • Checkers
  • █ — █ — █ —
    — █ — █ — █ —
    █ — █ — █ —
  • Start with every other letter

Type the Whole Word

The hint letters are just placeholders.

You need to overwrite the hint letters and type the whole word.
